In this new recording, published on berlin label Schraum, The Same Girl proposes a new series of constraint improvisations (SPARE PARTS) and a small collection of field recordings (IDEOLOGY TOOLKIT).

For the recording of “spare parts” the computer has been played through bass and guitar amps, thus creating more depth and contrast in order to connect better to the same physical space as the percussion.
IDEOLOGY TOOLKIT stands for a set of four field recordings inserted behind the improvised pieces. These recordings were made while touring in Russia and Croatia. Their titles refer to procedures used in ideology manipulation, creating ambiguity between the harmlessness of the sound sources and their almost disturbing descriptions.
